The first Tekla store spans the ground floor of the iconic Egmont building in central Copenhagen. Constructed in the 1930s, it features Nordic Classicism characteristics that have been a source of inspiration. The design features a luminous ‘light carpet’ on the ceiling that references the grand luxury of the original building. Concrete floors mirror Tekla’s minimal aesthetic, and the stucco ceiling speaks to the building’s past ornate details. Donald Judd inspired timber fixtures and metal rails offer contrasting textures and colours alongside carefully sourced classic vintage furniture.
